Spectacular Swimming Lands ANA Synchronized Swim Team 1st Place at NESSA Championship

With some members of the ANA Synchronized swim team as young as 8 years old, it is truly amazing to watch
just how "synchronized" this team really is. The ANA Synchers took home 1st place finishes in both the 10 and
under and 11-12 age group categories when they swam in the New England Intermediate Championship in Ipswich,
MA this past weekend.

Placing first in this qualifying NESSA meet highlights these swimmers as a firm favorite as they head off to compete
again in the Regional Age Group and Intermediate Championship to be held in Hamden, Connecticut May 18-20.

Competing in the 10 and under age group category and performing to music from Thumbelina were swimmers
Jessica Alvarado, Monica Alvarado, Juliet Adams, Tatiana Bouchard, Nicole Carzo, Sachiko Hagiya, Lacey Kirks and
Kate Quinn.

Also placing first in their age group (11-12), and performing to a medley of jungle theme music were swimmers
Lauren Arsenault, Kim Beaton, Gillian Brassil, Kim Cushing, Julie Desjardins, Gloria McNamara, Rebecca Hope, and
Elizabeth Rao.

The ANA Synchers took home several top honors in other events as well. In the 10 and under age group category,
Sachiko Hagiya and Nicole Carzo finished 1st for their duet performance, and Gillian Brassil, Jessica Alvarado and
Monica Alvarado swam to a 1st place finish for their trio.

For the 11-12 age group trio performances ANA took home both 1st and 2nd place medals. First place trio swimmers
included Kim Cushing, Elizabeth Rao and Gloria McNamara. Second place medals went to Tatiana Bouchard, Lacey Kirks
and Juliet Adams. Rounding out a great meet for the ANA Synchers, Gloria McNamara added yet another silver medal to
ANA's collection with her solo performance in the 11-12 age group.

Swimmers are already back in the pool training hard for the upcoming regional meet. If you are interested in learning more
