competitor at the New England Synchronized Swimming Association Figures Meet
held in Gloucester, MA recently.
The ANA Synchers,
the synchronized swim team from the local YMCA, took first place finishes in
an incredible six competition age groups.
The youngest ANA swimmers
in the Novice 8-under group started the day and offered people a glimpse of
why the 60+ member ANA Synchers
are considered one
of the top synchro teams in the New England region. Sophia Ju placed first,
Reverie Neddie, second, and Anna Lang, third in
the Novice 8-U category. Ju, Neddie and Lang are all from Andover.
In the 10 and Under Intermediate
category Katherine Gorrie of Andover took home a silver and Angela McNamara,
also of Andover, a bronze.
In the more advanced 10 and Under Age Group category, the ANA Synchers wowed
audience members again by grabbing the top three finishes.
All swimmers from Andover, Nicole Carzo, took gold, Tatiana Bouchard, silver
and Sachiko Hagiya, bronze.
Continuing their outstanding
performance in the age group categories, Caitlyn MacGregor of North Andover
won first place and Candace Ju of
Andover, took third in the 13-15 Age Group. Jessica Mancini of Andover placed
first and Missy Andrews of Chepachet, RI took second in the
16-17 Age Group category. Leaving only the 3rd place finish on the table, ANA

day competing among the most experienced swimmers, Margaret Conlon of Methuen
