ANA Synchers take 9 Golds, 3 Silvers and 2 Bronze at NESSA Championship Meet

The ANA Synchers, the synchronized swim team of the Andover/North Andover YMCA hosted 100+ athletes this past weekend
for the New England Synchronized Swimming Age Group Championship. Of course being the team that it is, the ANA Synchers
remained gracious hosts even as their team was stacking up the gold medals. After all this team is used to winning. Hopefully you
had a chance to stop by because the excitement in the air was electrifying. Maybe it's something like the Red Sox winning at Fenway Park!

At the end of the day the ANA Synchers took home first place medals in every team event for every age group, two golds in solo
routines, two golds and three silvers for duets, two golds, a silver and two bronze for trio routines.

Two team members, Jessica Mancini, 15 of Andover and Stephanie Garcia Restrepo, 17 of Billerica, also amazed crowds by achieving
the "Grand Slam of Synchro" -- 4 gold medals in one meet. Mancini won gold for her team, duet, solo and figures performances. Restrepo
achieved her Grand Slam for her performances in team, trio, solo and figures. Two other ANA swimmers who stacked up the gold last
weekend were Ashley Cohen, 17 of Andover and Maggie Conlon, 16 of Methuen. Coming very close to the Grand Slam, Cohen and Conlon
each took home 3 gold medals. Both Cohen and Conlon's medals were earned for top performances in the team, trio and duet categories.
Overall one incredible meet for the ANA Synchers!
